Felipe Montoro Jens Reports on Federal Auction to be held in August

The Program of Partnerships and Investments (PPI) has recently reported an auction to be held in August(2018) by the Brazilian Federal government. Nearly 60 projects will be up for grabs by the private sector, an investment of roughly $45 billion. According to the PPI Infrastructure project specialist, Felipe Montoro Jens, the bidding is set to start during the last few weeks of Michael Temer’s government.

PPI was created by the central government of Brazil with the intention of strengthening the relationship between the private sector and the state by creating new jobs and stimulating the national economy. They have also promised the gradual expansion and stabilization of the public infrastructure within Brazil including the legal security of the projects they have laid out as well as issuing a guarantee of as minimal interference by the government into investments and business in general.

Aside from his position with PPI, Felipe Montoro Jens, age 46, is Chief Executive Officer of Energipar Captação S.A. as well as being Chairman of Concessionária do Centro Administrativo do Distrito Federal S.A. In the past he has served as Director of Santo Antônio Energia S.A., Braskem S.A., and Concesionaria Trasvase Olmos S.A.. Jens is a world class expert in the finances and investments industries. His man focus is on infrastructure, which earned him his place with PPI.

Major projects to be bid upon by the public that are appearing on the list released by Jens so far include, but are far from limited to, the port terminals concessions of Belém (PA), Vila do Conde (PA), Paranaguá (PR) and Vitória (ES), at least one major highway, and the sale of Infraero’s stake in several airports. Jens also reported that the government plans to privatize several state-run companies such as Ceasaminas, Casemg, the Docks of Espírito Santo, and even the Mint itself.
